Dad left us in the early hours of Friday morning. A mercifully short illness. And, I am sure, a great relief and release for him.
And I am sure he gave Matthew and Mondego a decent shove from behind to help them home at Wolverhampton on Friday night. I am also sure that he would have been surprised to read his name in the Racing Post report of the race. Not a paper that he spent much time studying.....!!??
Life goes on. And tomorrow we head to Plumpton for the Moorcroft Charity Day. A course where we have had our fair share of luck. I hope it continues.
So sad about your father, my condolences, but a big congratulations with Mondego... I looked after him and rode him every day when he was with Margaret (O'Sullivan), I loved that little lad to bits and I'm thrilled he's done well for you.
Give him an extra carrot from me.

Dear George, My condolences for the lose of your dad. It was clear from your postings on this blog how much you loved and appreciated him and I sure he also knew this which is the greatest accolade a father can receive. Stay strong
