The early bird.......

.......gets to go to the first day of The Ashes Series at Cardiff.

My mate Marcus and I about to head off down the M5. Through our Owner Paul Beck, we will be breakfasting with Messrs Botham and Boycott et al before heading to the ground. Not even sure what the ground is called. The first day of the Ashes on a Wednesday in Cardiff - slightly bizarre, but who cares ?? Bring it on.....

Disgraceful, I know, taking a day away from the yard - but as I have said on numerous occasions, our exceptional team are more than capable of coping in my absence. Just need to knock some tedious paperwork on the head first.

And heading off to Wales in good spirits after the victory of Guga at Southwell last night. A lowly little maiden handicap - but a massive result for us and the Owners. We have had to bide our time with this horse, but Tony Culhane was at his strongest last night to ensure that this was another case of "job done"......
