To Uttoxeter yesterday with Thistle. A horse who is gradually getting his confidence back. A decent enough run to be 4th, albeit in lowly company. The ground probably on the soft side of his optimum - good ground, 2 miles, poor opposition is what we need !!
And Music Box Express, who enjoyed his outing to Yarmouth on Tuesday, runs at Leicester this afternoon. A long losing run, as mentioned in the Racing Post, but still more than capable. He will be winning again - just quite difficult to predict exactly when....
And two firsts last night. Barney Baker's first yorker, completely deceiving his father. And Barney and Tallulah's first artichoke - they seemed to love them, although the butter may have been the main attraction. The artichokes plucked from the garden - it really is "the good life" around here....
